Vehicle Inspection & Report
All our vehicles are thoroughly inspected prior to sale.
A 100-point check-sheet is completed, covering functional operation of all components and features, together with a full mechanical inspection and report. A copy of this check-sheet is provided to the buyer.
Warranty
Most of our vehicles are available with a comprehensive vehicle warranty supplied through WarrantyWise – one of the best established and most respected vehicle warranty providers.
WarrantyWise is supported by well-known car guru Quentin Willson, and is specifically designed to be written in plain English, with no “weasel words”.
Many buyers do not want to take out a warranty, and so we don’t include the cost of a warranty within the price of a car. However, for those buyers who prefer the added security and peace-of-mind that a warranty brings, we are happy to make them available at very attractive prices!
The price of the warranty cover available is indicated on the individual car details. There’s no excess, and work can be carried out at any VaT registered garage – so you don’t have to bring your car back to Stroud in the unlikely event of any problem! More details can be provided upon request. WarrantyWise aren’t the cheapest cover around, but we feel that it is better to have a warranty that can be relied upon, than a cheaper one which can’t be.
There are five levels of cover available – and we always recommend the highest level available (which is determined by a combination of the vehicle age and mileage). There will be a maximum amount that can be claimed in any individual claim, but no restriction on the number of claims up to the sales value of the car.
Platinum Plus Cover is available on vehicles less than 4 years old and with less than 40,000 recorded miles. It is a very comprehensive warranty covering all mechanical and electrical components except for standard servicing components
Platinum Cover is available on vehicles less than 6 years old and with less than 60,000 recorded miles. It’s generally the same level of cover as Platinum Plus, although limits on labour rates are lower
Gold Cover is available on vehicles less than 8 years old and with less than 80,000 recorded miles. This cover all major mechanical and electrical components, including major internal moving parts of the engine, the gearbox and transmission, clutch, drive train, differential, suspension, steering and braking systems, fuel system, cooling system and electrical systems
Silver Cover is available on vehicles less than 10 years old and with less than 100,000 recorded miles. This covers the major mechanical and electrical components, but with a reduced list of covered components compared to Gold Cover
Bronze Cover is available on vehicles less than 12 years old and with less than 120,000 recorded miles. This covers major internal moving parts of the Engine, Gearbox and Transmission, Clutch, Drive Train and Differential, and has a reduced level of claim available.

Test Drives
We are delighted to offer full accompanied test drive facilities. Please contact us on 07917-234897 to make arrangements to test drive any of the vehicles offered.
We have full trade insurance and trade registration plates to cover you legally and sensibly during any test drive!
Part Exchange Policy
Reg Barton Cars is proud to offer vehicles for sale at prices well below high street dealer levels. We do not inflate the “screen price” of our cars in order to offer higher trade-in valuations. Accordingly, we will be pleased to offer a fair market trade price for any part exchange vehicles. In this way, your “cost to change” will always be competitive – and you always have the option to sell your current car privately should you so desire.
I’m pleased to consider any vehicle for part exchange, although please note that firm valuations and offers cannot be made without seeing the vehicle.
Please also note that all vehicles proposed for part-exchange will be Experian Data Checked (like HPI) for mileage accuracy, outstanding finance, and accident history – and that I do not buy cars recorded on the Insurance Total Loss database (Cat B/C/D/F etc)
Finance
We are currently applying for registration under the Financial Services Act in order to offer finance packages to purchasers. However, until this is in place, purchasers will need to obtain finance themselves.
